Description
A conceptual design study I did to investigate how to incorporate wheels that were detached from the main part of the car.
Some Enigneering stuff:
The car, while only a conceptual study, has a planned steering mechanism that involves 'drive-by-wire' technology that sends steering input signals to electric actuators (motors that makes things move) in the front wheel wells, which are used to power pinions on small rack and pinion steering systems. The wheels area attached much like a motorcycle's front wheel, and is attached to the chassis at the top.
End of Engineering stuff
I probably won't do another car design for a while. I have some other projects, including an aircraft design which is in early stages. Will keep posted

I wonder if we'll see something like this in the future. On the one hand, there's less chassis and less weight, so it's very efficient. On the other hand, the engine (or batteries) must be at the back, so there will be little room for luggage. Therefore, they would probably use the space at the front for storage instead.
